Old Sac Engagement | Melinda + Clayton
Just finished all of Melinda and Clayton's engagement edits. They are a fun artsy couple so Old Sac was sort of a perfect place for them. Believe it or not, this was was also the first couple I've ever shot in Old Sacramento. I love all the cool doorways and all the rustic brick buildings in Old Sac.

I love the backlight in this picture.

This pose is awesome!

I did a little bit of a different edit on the last few.

FAQ
How many photos will I get?
It depends on the package you choose, but I usually average about 100 frames an hour. Which means for a 6 hour day you’ll get a min of 550 photos. Of course, you could also always get more. My philosophy is if I’ve shot it and it’s in printable quality than I will include it. Don’t worry you’ll have lots to choose from.
What is the turnaround time for images?
After the event it will take me 3-4 weeks to process images. I will look through all the images and make sure they are all properly exposed for printing proposes. Once images are ready I will send you an email with a link to your online album and you will receive the CD shortly after. For albums, the CD will come with a worksheet and once worksheet is received edits for albums takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
Do you edit all the photos?
This is sort of a yes and no answer. I look through all the photos to make sure the color, saturation, lighting, and sharpness is of appropriate quality for printing. There could be minor edits or correction during this process. Afterwards I will go through and edit a few selected of my choice. Those will come on your CD. For your album you are able to pick which ever photos you want and ask for special edits if needed. You album choices will be put online for download.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I am an advid Canon user. I own three Canon cameras. My main shooter is a Canon 5d 12.5 megapixel. For your day I could bring all three cameras, or just two. I use my main shooter for formal, color pictures and my second back-up carmera for close-ups or black and white pictures.
I'll own a variety of lighting equipment. Including, some studio stobe flashes. You may see them all the day of your event
What size are your photos?
I usually export my photos in 200 dpi, which is printable quality, in a jpeg format. They are about 20 x 30 inches.
Do I get full copyrights to the images?
Yes. You are paying for your images so you'll get full rez image with no watermark. If you have trouble a letter of release can be drafted up for you.
Do you charge a travel fee?
I'm in the Sacramento Area and I do travel! If your destination is within 45 minutes of the Sacramento area I do not charge travel. If travel time is over 45 minutes I will charge a small fee for travel. Travel can be anywhere between $35 and up depending on how far you are away. The fee covers my travel expense and also covers the cost for me to travel and maintain my equipment. I want to keep my equipment in the best shape and as up to date as possible against the wear and tear of travel.
Do you have a written contract?
Of course! A contract protects both you and me.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. A copy of my insurance binder can be given at your request. I can also fax it to your reception location if needed.
What are your deposit requirements?
I require a contract and a $300 deposit. Deposits can be paid by check, cash or credit card through paypal. You do not need a paypal account to pay with credit card.
Who is your assistant and what are they in charge of the day of?
All my packages come with a second shooter usually someone I’ve worked with before. I won’t really know who until a month or two before. Assistants can be other photographers who are just assisting another photographer for the day. I will be in charge of mainly taking all formal pictures. My assistant will be there to take more candid pictures of your friends and family and to be a second eye of important events like your ceremony. Sometimes there will be more than one assistant depending on the event and type of package you get.
What if I need more hours?
All packages are customizable. If you need to add on an additional hour, the cost is approximately $100 added to the package.
How far in advance do I need to book?
I book as far in advance as 1 1/2 years. Email me to see if I'm available for your date! Hello@tammynize.com
When can I schedule my engagement shoot?
Engagment shoots can be schedules as soon as your deposit is put down. It can be as soon as you need or as late as you need. Processing time for engagement photos is about 10-15 business dates.
What if I don't need an engagement shoot?
Engagement shoots are included in the package, but if you don't need it I can give you a discount of $50.
Do you charge a late booking?
No. If I'm available I only ask you sign a contract and put down a deposit like normal.
What happens if your equipment fails?
I have two of everything so you don't have to worry. If something breaks I'll have extra.
I don't see any testimonials on your site. Do you have references?
I think testimonials are very skewed since I don't think anyone would post "negative" testimonials. I feel that good photography really does speak a thousand words. However, I save a few selected emails with very positive feedback from my clients if you're still interested. :)
How do you descibe your photography?
I think I have an edgy non-traditional approach to wedding photography. My photos are more out of the box with dramatic lighting. If you are looking for something a little more artistic than I think we could be a perfect match.
Are those lights in the back of your photos special effects or done on purpose?
Those lights are special lighting that I bring to cause a very dramatic effect in photographs. They are enhanced during editing, but mostly it is shot in camera.
Can you shoot this type of (fill in the blank) photography?
I get this question often. As a photographer I think you should be able to shoot and adapt to anything. This is why we study and perfect our art. The short answer is yes. If you have something specific in mind I definitely will try to match your needs. You are paying for my services, after all. However, if you have a specific style in mind I highly recommend going to a photographer with your similar taste and style that meets your needs. I would love and appreciate your business, but I am all about honesty and for your big day you should choose carefully and pick a photographer that has similar ideas to yours.
Will your pricing change?
Like any other business I'm always looking at what the cost is do business relative to the cost of living is and the amount of demand. My pricing could change depending these factors. I usually give notice under the pricing section before the change so people can take advantage of the old pricing before any changes happen.

Barnyard Wedding | Kayla + Boomer Wedding April 2010
I remember when I was looking for my wedding venue and I actually remember coming across this venue in my search and totally passed on it and for the first time I had the pleasure of seeing it up close and personal and I saw the possibilities of what it could be. Welcome to Kayla and Boomer's barnyard wedding, and it was the cutest most quaint wedding ever! Plus the bride and groom were so young, vibrant, fun and easy going it fit this little barn perfectly!

Isn't this just the neatest garter of Boomer's favorite sports team. Little details like that makes weddings so special.

Honestly, I was so in love with this bouquet. Sooo country!

The most precious little flower girls.

Is it bad to say that I love crying pictures? Mommy crying pictures are the best!

The ring shot is my favorite ring shot of all time.

Her shoes were just adorable! But of course impossible to walk in. :)

I don't know how people always talk me into doing these shots. I have soo many! Boomer made this shot adorable!

Cake shoving pictures are awesome! People don't dare do it anymore, which is almost quite a shame. Thanks Kayla and Boomer for being so daring!

My First Tear Sheets
My marketing has finally paid off! Sent out a newsletter a few months back and got contacted by Inked to be in this special edition. Ambition, Motivation and Persistence goes a long way. Woohoo!
I got my first ever tear sheets in the mail a couple of weeks ago in Inked Mag's Ink Girls Edition of Hollywood from my shoot with her at Horseshoes and Handgrenades in Yuba City. Four pages, plus a small little bio. Excited to venture in the world of print and hope to be able to have more work printed in the future.
Thank you so much Hollywood for being the most glamorous tattoo model I know! She's such a beauty and so fun to hang out with.

There's even a small little bio of me! This photo of me was taken by my dear friend, Tom Huynh.

Just Hotness
I can't believe it's already May. I've had a busy last few weeks and with May here I already see my free time diminishing, but before I start filling my weekends with wedding photos I'm glad to share a hot dramatic set of Bunny for May's Feature. I'm gonna call this set Jet Black, because of her hair. Psst...that isn't her real hair. :)

This one is my favorite. Just hotness.

Shower Time
If you like a sassy brunette with still a little bit of innocence you need to check out this set of Bailey. I love her facial expressions and how she's not scared to bare everything, but sometimes when I scroll through I set I see purity. Take a little shower time with her with some sneak peek photos.

Esther + Eric's Wedding | Delta View Golf Glub in Pittsburgh, CA
Eric and Esther are high school sweethearts. I have a weak spot for couples like this because I'm a high school sweetheart myself. Their reception was so lively! I got some of the best dancing pictures ever! Thanks so much Esther and Eric for letting me be a part of your day.

I had to make this the first picture I showed because this is by far the funniest garter toss picture I'm ever taken! He's just so animated!

The best part about night time wedding's are these cobalt blue skies! They are so beautiful in pictures and against the teal dresses it's perfection!

They had a winter wedding so by the time their ceremony was over it was dark. The sky had no life to it so I put in some stars for them.

Esther is just so cute in this picture. She was a beautiful bride!

Their daughter was a total cutie pie and a daddy's girl. She followed Eric around pretty much the whole reception.

This picture is just so sweet.

They started off like any other father daughter dance and then the did a fun little twist! Hilarious!

Believe it or not, it's really hard to get crying pictures. People tend to hide if they see you snapping pictures of them crying. I have to thank Eric's sister for not being shy. I love her for that. Plus, she loved to dance.

The toast is one of my favorite parts of the reception because you learn so much about the bride and groom.

Last, but not least a toast to a beautiful wedding with wonderful people!
