Photography is a tough job | Marsha + Carter Engagement

When I came home from a full weekend of shooting I was telling Lance about how I don't understand why I'm so sore and tired when all I do is stand around and click a button. Joking, of course. Once I really was mad when I came home and found out the dogs weren't walked because Lance was waiting for me to get home of which I asked, "What is it that you think I do all day?"

Being photographer may sound fun and glamorous, but people really underestimate sometimes how really tiring it can be. Sometimes you have to wake up at odd hours just to get the good light, you work most weekends and you stay up late into the night editing photos. You carry heavy equipment every where and climb/crawl/squeeze/squat into weird places to get good shots. For example this photo below of Marsha and Carter.

I has to lay upside down in the gravel to get this shot. As seen in this photo shot by my assistant, Christine.

And that is why you pay us the big bucks. :)
